The licensed notary maintains a physical-written notary journal of all general notarial transactions in an Official Journal of Notarial Acts. The journal includes the following information:
Date/Time of Notarization
Kind Type of Notarization/Certificate
Address where Notarization was Performed
Document Kind/Type and Date
Name and Address of Signer
Identification of Signer (Description of ID provided such as: Personally Known, ID Cards, or Credible Witness)
Any Additional Information
Notary Fee Charged ($10.00 per notarial act performed)
Signature of Signer
Right Thumbprint of Signer *if required
The Signing Agent maintains a Signing Agent Log of all notarial acts to include the following information:
Loan Signing Information (Date, Borrower Names, Loan Signing Location, Company Assignment, Number of Pages Printed)
Mileage (Odometer Start, Odometer End, Total Mileage)
Notarizations (Number of Documents & Signs)
Invoice Information (Invoice Sent, Invoice Paid, and Invoice Amount)
Fee Itemization and Tax Reporting (Gross Sale Schedule C, Printing Expenses Schedule C, Mileage Expense Schedule C, and Other Expenses Schedule C)

All previous signing information held within the Notary’s Journal or Signing Agent Log is protected during the signing with a Notary Privacy Guard for NNA Notary Journals. The notary is required to keep all journal entries private and held in a locked location.
NMG Notary Services, LLC. does not allow companies to view non-consumer journal entries.
